The Peach Blossom Moth - Thyatira batis - was first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. Belonging to the Drepanidae family, it is found from Europe to Japan. Especially in the British Isles Thyatira batis is a fairly common species. With a wingspan of 40–45 mm the nightflying Peach Blossom moth is attracted to light and sugar.
