Green Stinkbug Art Print - Palomena prasina wall art
One of the things I find particularly fascinating about this species is it’s seasonal transformation. During the warmer months, adults are a vivid green, covered with tiny dark dots. As autumn approaches, their color changes to brown - helping them blend into fallen leaves where they spend the winter. They emerge again in spring as temperatures rise.
The Common Green Shieldbug - Palomena prasina is a widespread species, easily recognised by it’s characteristic shield-shaped body and beautiful bright green color. Adults are around 10-12 mm long and can be found on a wide variety of deciduous trees and shrubs.
Once you take the time to really look, the colors, symmetry and tiny details become fascinating.
Fine Art Print
Each print is made from my original watercolor painting in my studio on 350 gsm Hahnemühle Museum Etching, a beautiful, heavyweight fine art paper with a soft, tactile texture that complements the delicate details of the original watercolor, to make the prints look and feel almost like original artworks.
Printed with archival pigment ink for excellent colour longevity.
