The Red Admiral is one of Europe's most recognisable butterflies — and an impressive traveller.
Its seasonal movements can cover around 3,000 km / 1,864 miles in Europe.
For me, there is something beautiful about that contrast: a small, delicate-looking butterfly capable of travelling such extraordinary distances.
Small creature. Big journey.
This artwork is part of my growing collection of butterflies and other small creatures from the natural world.

Each print is carefully printed by me in my studio on beautiful Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper.
I chose this paper because of its beautiful, tactile surface and its ability to reproduce the subtle colours and fine details of my watercolour paintings.
